Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy is finding its way back into mainstream medicine. Ketamine, a psychedelic like medicine is being used by health care providers to address depression and PTSD.
Roots To Thrive -Ketamine Assisted Therapy is a 3-month program that builds resiliency through an intentional community of practice, paired with ketamine-assisted therapy. This new mental health model places the community at the centre of the healing process. Furthermore, it is affordable, accessible, its impacts are far-reaching.

Dr. Shannon Dames – Shannon works as a professor of nursing and a resilience researcher at Vancouver Island University. She founded Roots to Thrive and is the managing director for RTT-KAT.
Phil Dames – Phil is the co-founder and Director of Operations of RTT-KAT.
Geraldine Manson – Geraldine is a Snuneymuxw First Nation Elder, Elder-in-Residence Faculty of Health & Human Services at Vancouver Island University.
Margaret Huml – Margaret is a registered Nurse and a Professor at Vancouver Island University and a participant in the RTT-KAT program.
Griffin Russell – Griffin is the Regional Harm Reduction Coordinator in Vancouver Island Health Authority, as well as a son, brother, partner, father, friend and a participant in the RTT-KAT program.
Dr. Zhiish McKenzie – Zhiish is an Indigenous Family Doctor and a participant in the RTT-KAT program.
Dr. Pamela Kryskow is a medical doctor in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her training includes Family Medicine, Rural Emergency Medicine, Chronic pain, Functional Medicine and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. She is the Medical Lead in the Roots to Thrive – Ketamine Assisted Therapy Program and also a founding member of the Canadian Psychedelic Association.
