December 11, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

by Psychedelic and Entheogen Academic Council (PEAC) at UCSF

The Psychedelic and Entheogen Academic Council (PEAC) at UCSF connects researchers, clinicians, and students interested in psychedelic science with each other and with the international community to socialize on individual, cultural, creative, and intellectual levels while creating a sense of belonging and community. As a result of the restrictions related to COVID-19, PEAC moved online and started to hold weekly meetings via Zoom that are open to the public (recordings available on request). PEAC provides an inclusive and safe space for communication of and respectful dialogue about the most recent findings and trends in the field of psychedelic science. PEAC defines diversity as strength and is committed to present a variety of different perspectives on psychedelic science and healing. The online events kicked off with a community roundtable only three days before the murder of George Floyd on May 25th, 2020. PEAC stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and will contribute to amplifying Black voices. We oppose Anti-Black racism and systemic oppression of minority groups in all forms. We aim to invest in the liberation of Black, Brown, and Indigenous People and to explore the potential of psychedelic substances for healing. PEAC facilitates dialogues that matter to encourage people to support each other with an open heart and humility.
